WHEAT POOL.
INITIAL PAYMENT IN CANADA. (United Press Association—By Eloctrif Telegraph—Copyright.> (Received July 29, 8.15 p.m.) OTTAWA, July 28. Mr Ramsay has officially announced that the Canadian Wheat Pool’s initial payment for the 1929 crop has been fixed at one dollar per bushel. “One dollar per bushel has been the initial price paid by the Pool since the Canadian Pool was formed in 1924, with the exception of last year, when the initial payment was lowered to 80 cents. We are satisfied that the step then taken by our Central Board has been amply justified by the market developments during recent months.”
