TO BE RELEASED. By Telegraph—Press Association. HAMILTON, July 27. The Minister of Justice (the Hon. T. M. Wilfordi yesterday telegraphed to the Rev. H. E. Jones, vicar of Frankton, as follows: “Are you prepared to take charge of William Morrison. If so he will be released immediately.” Morrison is a young Scotsman who was sentenced at Hamilton twelve days ago to a month’s imprisonment for beg ging. Considerable local agitation arose, and a question was asxeU in Parliament. Mr Jones replied to the Ministe: agreeing to take charge of Morrison. IDENTIFICATION OF FINGERPRINTS. By Teletcraph—Press Association. INVERCARGILL. July 27. Percy Harry Ellis, alias Miller, who was identified by finger-print evidence, was sentenced to one month’s Imprisonment for false pretences. The police stated that other char;; are pending in the north.
