PRINCE AT CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received June 13, 7 p.m.) LONDON, June 13. The Prince of Wales watched the Amateur Golf Championship at Sandwich. The Prince accompanied Tolley’s match for a few holes, then two American players. He was most interested in Joshua Crane’s, “toothpick” putter. Earlier he played a few holes on the adjoining princes course, and later in the afternoon partnered Wethered in a foursome. The oustanding features of the championship was that Perkins was taKen to the 22nd hole by a little known youth. Wethered, Torrence and Stout were all beaten, while John Dawson, from Chicago, is still winning. L. H. CAMPBELL BEATEN. (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) LONDON. June 12. In the second round of the amateur golf championship, Major Thornbury defeated L. H. Campbell (New Zealand), 5 up and 4 to play. GLENITI CLUB.
