THE CHURCHES.
The services at the Baptist Church to-morrow will be conducted by the Rev. C. W. Duncumb. The text tor the morning' service will be “ The Marriage Supper of the Lamb,” and the evening subject will be “The Word from the Cross.” The services at the Congregational Church to-morrow will be conducted by Mr E. Foot in the morn- | ing, and Mr J. McKessar in the evening. Visitors are welcome to both services. The services in Banks Street Methodist church to-morrow will be conducted by Mr C. G. Vogeler in the morning, and by Mr J. E. Chiles hi the evening. The choir will render an anthem. The services at Woodlands Street will be taken by Mr R. Stewart and the Rev. P. I. Cooke. Visitors are cordially invited. Holy Communion will be celebrated to-morrow at St. Mary’s Church at 8 a.m. and 12 noon; St. Michael’s at 9.30 a.m.; St. John’s at 8 a.m.; and All Saints’ at 8 a.m. At the evening mission service at St. Mary’s Church to-morrow the Rev. 11. W. Monaghan will continue his special course of Lenten sermons on “Modern Discipleship,” taking as his subject for this Sunday “Modern Churchm&nship: AVliat it is, and What it Might Be.” At Trinity Presbyterian Church, to-morrow, the services will be conducted by the Rev. A. J. H. Dow. Communion will be observed at the morning service, when the choir will sing “Jesu, Word of God Incarnate.” (Elgar.) The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated in Chalmers : Church at the morning service toI morrow, and after the evening seri vice. At the evening service, which j will commence at 6.30, the second ' address on “Four Aspects of Faith” will be given. The subject for SunI day morning will bo, “The Faith *hat , Ventures.” The choir will sing j Gounod’s “Avo Verur..” Retiring j collections will be taken for “ Our Own Maori Missionary Fund.”
