He indicated that he had made plans for an Arctic Polar exploration during this summer in a submarine, or would possibly make a North Polar trip with the Graf Zeppelin before returning to Antarctica in September. He also intimated that he had planned the establishment of meteorological stations on the South Polar Continent, with a ten year programme of weather forecasting for all nations in the Southern Hemisphere.
