Ken worthy (Labour) that telegrams announcing the results of the Anglo-French naval discussions last year were sent to the Dominion Governomnts on July 30. Commander A. Bellairs (Conservative) drew attention to a Canadian statement that foreign Powers were informed before the Dominions. Mr Amery said that tlieie was a day between the dispatch of the telegram*. Commander Kenworthy: Did they ask for observations, or did you merely inform them of the result of the conversations?
