TO-NIGHT’S RIG CARNIVAL. At the Century Baths this evening the public of Timnru jvill he treated to one of the finest "entertainments, from a swimming point of view, ever seen in this town. With five New Zealand champions taking part, the meeting will he of more than ordinary interest. The South Canterbury Centre has spared no effort, in making the most complete arrangements. More seating accommodation than before has been provided, and the carnival itself will bo run on the same linos as the championship meeting. Rope lanes have been provided for the swimmers. From the spectator's* point of view, this will give them a hotter chance of picking out the placed swimmers. Owing to the big programme, the public are asked to be seated by 7.30 sharp so as to ensure the successful i aiming of the meeting.
