RIFLE SHOOTING.

NEW ZEALAND TEAM IN VICTORIA. (United Press Association—By Electric Tsleeraph—Copyright.) (Received February 25, 11.30 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 25. Mr Marshall, commander of the New Zealand rifle team, reports that all the men are fit and well after their warm weather journey. The team is now billeted at Williamstown near the range.

After spending some time at the twenty-five yards’ range for the purpose of getting the common zero of the rifles and sights, the team has settled down to steady practice, which thus far has been entirely satisfactory.

Mr Marshall says there will be no excuse if the team is beaten. The men generally appreciate the assistance and kindness of the Victorians. Mr Mason, New Zealand Government agent, is helpful to the team.
