INSPECTED BY MINISTER. By Telegraph—Press Association. GISBORNE. Feb. 25. The Minister of Lands (Hon G. W. Forbes) hist week inspected the i e TVerh block, the Government acquisit. ion which was the cause of much comment. Mr Forbes was preatlv impressed with the locality of the block, and the condition o; the land, and stock. Before being again thrown open for selection the access roads wilt be completed. Il was reported to tlio Minister that since the withdrawal of the block, a number of applications from intending settlers had been received. The area is <285 acres. It is now carrying over 10,000 sheep and 1200 cattle.
