Store Sheep.—There was a good yarding of both lambs and adult sheep, which showed an advance of from 1/- to 2/- on lambs, and slightly less on wethers, although the quality of the latter was very varied. The entry of ewes consisted chiefly of small lots of indifferent quality and doubtful ages, but met with a keen demand, prices being on a par with those ruling during the last month. There were a few lines of .really good station sheep, one of which, consisting of 300 6 and 8tooth halfbreds, realised 32/-. Values ranged as follows: —Good 4bred ewe lambs to 29/6, ordinary 24/- to 26/6; good 3-bred 28/- to 29/6; ordinary 25/- to 27/3; forward wether lambs 23/6 to 25/3, cull lambs 16/6 to 19/-; good 4,6, and 8-tooth 3-bred ewes 28/6 to 32/9, good 4,6, and 8-tooth 4-bred ewes 26/.- to 28/-; good 4,6, and 8-tooth crossbred ewes 27/- to 29/-; aged 4-bred ewes 16/3 to 17/6; aged X-bred ewes 14/6 to 16/-; wethers 24/- to 32/-. Pat Sheep.—A medium-sized yarding consisted of two tallies more than last week. The yarding was very mixed, largely comprising medium quality mutton' of both sexes. We sold 55 extra prime Corriedale ewes for Mr R. Bethel, Pahau Pastures, Culverden, which made up to 37/-, and also a line of 86 ewes from the Barree Estate, Spotswood, at up to 33/1. Export buyers were operating freely, and values throughout were up to their last schedule rates. Extra prime wethers made up to 40/4, prime wethers 33/- to 36/-, medium wethers 30/- to 32/6; extra prime ewes to 37/1, prime ewes 26/6 to 30/3, medium ,ewes 22/- to 24/6, light ewes 17/6 to 21/-. Pat Lambs. —A' medium-sized entry met with strong export competition at, schedule rates. We sold on account of Mr D. G. ■ Macfarlane, Rafa Downs, 1 Parnassus, 132 lambs ranging from 29/10 to 34/7; extra prime lambs 37/10, prime lambs 32/to 34/6, medium lambs 29/-to 31/6, light lambs 26/6 to 28/6. Pat Cattle.—A. very heavy, entry comprised 670 head. Although values were down about 20/- to 30/- a head on:all classes, as compared with last week, the sale was good throughout. Extra prime beef brought 39/6 per 1001 b., prime 35/6 to 38/-, heavy 32/6 to 34/6, good cow beef 31/6 to 35/-. We sold on account of Mr W. F. Parkinson, Kaituna, a line of 16 steers which realised from £lB/12/6 to £2O/17/6. . Store Cattle. —A good sale and fairly large entry, which realised late rates. Three to 4-year steers made £8 to £9, 2-year steers £7/10/- to £B, 2 and 3-year heifers about £5. Pigs.—A very large entry of fat pigs met' with irregular demand, although generally, speaking values were up to late rates for good quality. Values ranged as follows: Choppers £2 to £5/14/6, baconers £8 to £4/10/- (average price per lb 54d to 6Jd); light porkers 32/- to 37/-, heavy porkers 42/- to 52/-. There was a very large entry of store pigs. Values were up to late rates. Weaners 5/- to 8/6, good weaners 11/-, stores 12/- to 17/-, large stores 18/- to 24/-, extra large stores 30/-. '■ ' ; '
