E Shallcrass, thanking the committee for including her. on the general committee, and' expressing her willingness to act on same. ■,,,■■ ~ The Mayor stated that, he would arraneo a civic reception at 4 p.m. on May'*9, in the Borough- Council Chambers. . Mrs Herbert Elworthy sent wore that she would arrange for. a guard of honour” to be formed by the Girl Guides. The offer.was accepted with thanks. The committee decided to ask Mr W. D. Revell to undertake all arrangements ioi‘ doorkeepers, ticket collectors and ushers. The hon. secretary reported that Mr G. IF. Andrews.had" kindly undertaken to provide a quartet party to sing a.i anthem and any other hymns which may be required.—A vole of thanks to Mr Andrews was passed. The hon. secretary was directed to write and thank Miss Salmond. also to ask her to convov the thanks of the committee to those old girls- of Craighead School who had so kindly written posters for display in shop windows.
