THE NEW CHAIRMAN. By Association. MILLINGTON, April 28. Tile Railway Hoard chairmanship is still a» open question. The Prime Minister,: questioned regarding the Auckland report of the appointment of Mr H. H. Sterling, sad: '.‘lt is perfectly tru.e that 1 have discussed with Mr Sterling the question of accepting the ‘chairmanship of: the board, but in no way can it'be suggested that Mr Sterling has been appointed.” ’ , i Tim Prime Minister’s statement ol the position is corroborated by Mr Dynes Fulton, chairman of directors ol the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, . 0 f which Mr Sterling as general manager. Mr Fulton stated that what lias been announced by Ins company was to bo regarded as no- moic than an expression of the intentions ot bis board in the event of Mr Sterling accepting the chairmanship of the Railway Board.
