ESCAPE FROM BURNING HOUSE. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, Oct. 10. Mr and Mrs Knight, of Bayswater, were aroused by suffocating smoke at 11 p.m. on Sunday, and found their bedroom ablaze. Both scrambled through a window in their night attire. The house and contents were destroyed.
ANOTHER CAR WRECKED. By Ttlegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, October 10. The charred framework of a motor car, owned by Captain Pierotti, superintendent of the Northern Steamship Coy., was found at Mangere yesterday, being the tenth car wrecked in this manner in Auckland since April.
