EARTHQUAKE INCIDENT. The recent earthquake "was responsible for an amusing incident. Three men were smoking, when the shock came. One dropped his cigarette with —well—surprise; one found himself chewing the end of his; while the third went on complacently puffing away as though nothing untoward had happened. “You fellows are suffering from nerves,” the latter remarked. “Most men do nowadays,” said one of the others. “Too much smoking.” “No fear!
