INCREASED PRODUCTION

The figures of the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture show that the amount ol salted butter graded for September was 5337 tons, unsalted 190 tons; total 5517; compared with 4287 salted, and 8 insulted, total 4295 tons for September last year. Hie increase was 29.15 per cent. The cheese graded for September com-prised.—-White 2130 tens, coloured 1301, total 3431 : compared with 2141 white, and 937 coloured, total 3078, for September 1926, ail increase of 11.43 pel’ cent. . , Converting these figures into butterfat equivalent, there is .in increase of 27.83 per cent in the butterfat production for August and September, as compared with "the corresponding period ot 1926-27. , The stocks held in the various grading ports at 30th September were. —Butter 3113 tons, cheese 2400. compared with butter 2699, cheese 1716 last year. .
