WITH INJURED BUSHMAN.
By Telegraph —Fr««* INVERCARGILL, October 9. \. bushman named “Wilkinson was struck by a falling branch in a bush at StcwaYt Island on Friday last, and ivas rendered unconscious. He nas carried for several miles through the bush before a. conveyance was: secured to take him to the settlement at Half Moon Bay. . A westerly gale was blowing, but the Islanders manned a small coastal schooner, and at 7 p.m. started for the mainland. After a boisterous voyage, they reached Bluff at 10 pun., and the injured man received medical attention. He was found to bo suffering from concussion, and is still unconscious in hospital.
