DOG RACING.
ATTEMPTS TO SUPPRESS BETTING. By Cabla—Presg Association—Copyriebt. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. (Received October 6, 8.5 p.m.) LONDON, October 5. The anti-gambling League has taken out a summons against a West End bookmaker, to test the legality of betting on greyhound racing. When the summons came on in the West London Police Court, the League’s solicitor obtained two summonses against the Greyhound Racing Association for using White City Stadium as a betting house, and permitting betting there. The cases were adjourned till October 7.
