Billy Edwards defeated Billy Meeske by one fall to nil. . . ' The bout was rouglit and exciting, both men fighting, punching, and gouging. . The contest was even until the sixth round, when Edwards obtained a series of deadlocks, rendering Meeske nearly unconscious, and enabling Edwards to pin him down. At one stage, the referee was almost knocked out by a kick in the mouth.
