Owing, no doubt, to the inclement weather of the two preceding days, the yarding of siieep was small, being m tho vicinity of 25U0, of which number G3B were fats. The attendance was meagre, and tho bidding far from brisk, a great number of the lots being passed in. There were also about 100 rams, priedfi for which ranged from hi guineas to 10s Gd. The great majority remained unsold. The prices for stock were:— Eats. —Ewes: 20 at 13s, 3.3 at 12s, 2.3 at Us. Lambs. G2 at 23s 7d, 23 at 23s lOd, 40 at 24s 7d, 112 at 19s 5;l, GJ at 25s 7d, 47 at 25s Gd, 74 a t 2Gs 111.

Wethers: 73 2, 4 and 6-tooth at IGs. Two cows were offered, but elicited no bids. ST. ANDREWS STOCK SALE. 'Flu; fortnightly sale was held in the sale-yards on’ Wednesday. Very unfavourable weather prevailed, and tlie attendance of farmers was only moderate. The bidding for fats was very brisk, but very little business was shown m the other lines. 'I lie yarding were only fair, there, being barely 1 jU(J in tho pens. Fat lambs brought good prices, in fact the prices prevailing lor all fats wore in excess of the prices for the last few sales. The demand for stores was only moderate. A good number of cattle were disposed of at satisfactory prices. There were about 12 horses and foals offered, but the majority were passed in at very low bids. There teas little demand for pigs, and although most of those penned were sold, the prices were not satisfactory. The following are tlie values:—

Horses. —1 7-year-old mare at £25 10s, 1 9-year gelding at £15,, 1 aged mare at £3 ss, 1 aged gelding at £3 10s, 1 aged gelding at £2 15s. Allchurch and Co. report for the week ended April 23rd: — At our usual weekly “Rialto” sale on Friday, we had a fair entry ci poultry, while the; - e was a large yarding of pigs, 35 of various grades being yarded. Eggs.—The supply of eggs has fallen off during the past few days, and tlie demand hi very keen. The price at the end of the woek was 3s per dozen. Preserved eggs are also being inquired for at la Del to Is 10d dozen. Furniture and Effects.—On Friday at our room* we disposed of a fair quantity of furniture and effects at satisfactory prices. At the same time wo offered a 6-Seater Ford car which was jmwed ;u at auction at £SO but was sold immediately after at an advanced price.
