RIFLE SHOOTING.
DEFENCE CLUB. The Timaru Defence Rifle Club held a very interesting shoot for the Ardmore Cup, presented by Rifleman F. B. Chittock. The conditions were 6even shots at 300,’ 500 and 60Q yards, with handicaps. Fifleman P. Foden proved the winner, with a very creditable score of 97 off the rifle. Next Saturday will conclude the season’s shoot for a cup presented bv Mr G. H. Nicholas. The condition will be the full musketry course. All members are asked to be oa the range »t 3 2 g.m. ,
