FIRES.
By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, April 29. A fire at 4 a.m. destroyed a building at Henderson owned by Ozich, land agent, and occupied by a branch of the Bank of New Zealand, Stott (chemist) Constable (bootmaker), Higgins (hairdresser) and a billiard room. Nothing was saved. The loss 1» estimated at £4500. TE KUITI, April 29. At 1.30 this morning, a wood and iron building, owned by the Wagon service car proprietors, which contained four Cadillac cars, and one Gomroen bus, was completely destroyed by fire, with all trie contents. The cars and bus were owned by Wagon and the lorry by G. H. Oliver. No water supply was available, and the brigade was powerless. The building and cars were insured in the Phoenix Office, the former for £3OO. The origin of the five G unknown, CHRISTCHURCH, April 29.
A seven-roomed bungalow in- Fendalton, into which tennants were about to move, was destroyed by fire early today. 'Pbe owner, Mr N. P. Bigby, had £I7OO insurance in the London and Manchester Olfice.
