Runciman was elected unopposed. NEW BLOOD IN AUCKLAND. By Telegraph—Presa Association. AUCKLAND, April 28. All retiring members of the Auckland City Council were re-elceted, except Mr A. Thompson. There are six new momlwrs, including Miss Basten. There are three Labour members compared with two in the last Council. In> the Takapuna election the whole of the old Council were rejected, n decisive victory for the party opposed to the proposed purchase of the tram and ferry service.
