BUSINESS MEN.

MUNICIPAL CAMPAIGN. A full meeting of the Executive of the Business Men’s Committee was held yesterday in Mr Baker’s office, when Mr E. Porter presided. Matters in regard to expenses incurred during (he elections were satisfactorily adjusted. Members present expressed satisfaction at the success attained by the Association’s nominees in the municipal elections. Votes of thanks were expressed to th e various gentlemen who had materially assisted in the elections, special words of praise being expressed to the gentlemen who had givon the committee the use of their cars and telephones and to those who had kindly given their offices and rooms for the holding of the general meetings. Comprehensive votes of thanks were afeo accorded the press for publicity given, and to Mr E. Porter who dovoted so much of his time in the interests of the committee and the different candidates nominated. Mr Porter expressed thanks to the executive of the committee for tlieir untiring support, enthusiasm and goodwill and stated that it was a pleasure to be assoe’ated with the movement, which had the appreciation and cooperation of the citizens generally.
