PRISONER ESCAPES.

A prisoner named Herbert Stanley made a sensational escape from Darlinghurst Court House. He was brought from prison to receive sentence, and was waiting in the corridor below the dock, when he obtained permission from a constable o visit the lavatory.

Failing his return, it was discovered that the prisoner had made his way up into an adjoining empty court, through a trap-door in the dock, which had inadvertently been leit open. Thence lie reached the street, and got clean away. This is Stanley’s fourth escape from custody, he having twice jumped from moving trains.
