CATHOLIC CLUB.
ANNUAL MEETING
The annual general meeting of the Timaru Catholic Club was held in the Browne Street Hall on Wednesday. Me J. Collins presided over a large attendance. The presentation of the annual report disclosed that the -Club ‘during the year had experienced much success both socially and financially. The balance sheet revealed that the finances of the Club are in a healthy state. Income during the past year amounted to close on £4OO, inclusive of a credit balance of £l2B carried forward from last year. Assets exceeded liabilities by close on £6OO. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:; — Patron and spiritual director, Rev. Father Kerley, S.M.; president, Mr J. Collins; vice-presidents, Messrs P. Cronin and G. F. Doyle; secretary, Mr A. Alangos; treasurer, Mr _C. Clarke: committee, Alessrs P. Collins, J. Fitzgerald, D. Martin, tT. Smith, L. Collins, D. Alellor, J. Murphy, R. Seamen and J. Rosevear. Several other matters pertaining to the Club’s welfare and success were discussed, and the meeting closed with votes of thanks to the outgoing officials and the chair.
