REVIVAL OF MINIATURE RIFLE CLUB.

Talo; hnndicnppor (held over) ; judges of targets, Messrs T. Rooney and E. D. Hoskin; club captain, Mr D. Tate; vice-captain, Mr R. C. Russell; supervisors, club -captain and vice-captain. A large shooting committee, comprising all present, was elected. Social committee—Messrs O’Loughlia (2), Hoskins (2), and ML Henderson. It was decided that new guns be purchased, and the old ones sold; secretary to make inquiries re now rifles, and also for targets, ammunition, etc. It was agreed ijiat shoots bo weekly and that they should be held on Monday, at 7.15. Considerable discussion took place over slioots-ofi" for a trophy, in the event of a tie. It was finally decided that they be shot off to a finish.

The secretary was given charge of rifles, with Mr J. Blank as assistant. On the motion of Mr Stowell, it was decided to hold occasional sweepstakes, the club to retain a percentage of the stake. After much discussion, it was decided that no entry fee be charged in shooting for trophies. Ail present agreed that the handicaps be sealed. Several suggestions were put forward for raising money to pay for rifles. It was finally decided to meet with the Gun Chib, to make arrangements to hold a carnival or gymkhana, the clubs sharing the profits between them.
