A combined meeting ol the employees ol the three freezing works was held yesterday, alter which the secretary or the Tom'onna branch made the following oiiicial announcement to the presr: • “The action of the AVlutkatu melt was unanimously commended,, and uamed;ato tlnancial -support will be forthcoming from the Fawke’s Ray sheds, and throughout New Zealand. “A recommendation to Workers, other than, butchers at, Whakatu to go back to work was carried Unanimously, it - being emphasised that the present light was to ho purely section.”!, ard only the men concerned were slaughtermen.”
