WELLINGTON RACING CLUB. TRENTHAM GOLD CUP TO COUNT CAVOUR. By Telegraph—Press Association, WELLINGTON, March 19. The Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting concluded to-day under an overcast sky. Threatening rain held off for the most part. The track was soft and holding, due to heavy rain overnight, and early in the morning. The totalisator handled £48,433, against £65,203/10/for the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £85,79 4, against £110,665 a year ago. Results:—•

Acceptances for the Tiinaru Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday next, are due by 9 o’clock to-night. Dick Dillon appeared in the handicaps for the Trial Handicap at the Timaru Trotting Club’s meeting on 132 behind. The Auckland pacer was not nominated for the fixture. The name should have been Dick Logan, who is on scratch. Owing to heavy rain at Paeroa, the second day of the Ohinemuri meeting was postponed till Monday.
