DETERMINED SUICIDE. By Telegraph—Press Association. ROTORUA, March 18. When the incoming noon train was approaching Kout.u station, a man threw himself in front of the engine and was mangled out of recognition. Tho body was taken to Rotorua morgue, unidentified. An eye-witness to the tragedy at Koutn. two miles from Rotorua, states that the v.fctim stood on the ramp at the flag station and dived ■lirect’y in front of the engine. Tho .fireman saw him leap but was unable to prevent the tragedy. The train was instantly stopped, and the body placed in the van, utterly indentifiable. Last evening a young larmer, Arthur Henry, of Tawai, aged 28, while lopping a. high tree, fell about 30 feet, and sustained severe concussion. MeGeehau had been troubled by dogs worrying sheep in mai/.e on his property, and left the house with the intention of shooting logs.
