For more than twenty i years there has been no legislation of this kind. ; The general idea is to supersede ten existing Traffic Acts, many of which were enacted during ’the sixties. The chief points as regards motor legislation are the abolition of the ten and twenty miles speed limit, more drastic punishment of dangerous driving, the provision of a new offence, namely, careless driving, and also tho control of the issue of I ; censes to persons who are physically inept.
