DAVIS CUP.
DRAW FOR FIRST ROTJND. By Cable — Press Association—Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. WASHINGTON, March 17. The drawings,of six nations contesting the Davis Cup' was held on the White House lawn. Mr Coolidge, officiating, drew the first name from a Cup, giving Czechoslovakia bye in the first round, after which the representatives of foreign Governments completed the ceremony. The draw is at follows for the first pound:— Spain ▼. India. Sweden v. British Isles. Denmark v. Holland. Switzerland y. Austria. Ireland v. South Africa. _ Those drawing a hye in the first round, who contest the second round are:— Czecho-Slavakia v. Greece. Belgium v. Poland. -Jugo-Slavia v. the winner of the Spain-India match. Portugal v. Genr au y. Hungary v. Italy ._ ifrauce v. Roumania. AMERICAN ZONE. Japan v. Mexico. Cuba v. Canada.
