Espionage Plot Unearthed.
OPERATIONS IN SWITZERLAND. By Cablo —Press Association —Copyright. Australian and N.Z. Cablo Association. PARIS. March 17. Newspaper reports state that the Berne Police discovered an extensive Soviet espionage service in SAvitzerland, the principal centres being Berue, Basle. Zurich and Geneva, the last named particularly in connection with the League of Nations. Secret agents have been leaving Geneva for Paris thrice monthly.
The Swiss Department of Justice formally denies the report.

LONDON, March 17
In tile House of Commons. Mr U. Locker-Lampson told a questioner that the value of the industrial manufacturing property in Russia, of which Britishers were deprived Avithout compensation is estimated at 41780,000,000. Negotiations Avith the Soviet regarding this property had never reached a satisfactory result. In, the negotiations of 1924, the Soviet laid down conditions which Britain could not possibly accept. “We are waiting for the Soviet to make constructive proposals, but none have so far been forthcoming” he said. Colonel Hall: “Then the Soviet Government can be classed as common robbers.”
