By Cable —Press Association —Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received March 18, 7.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, March 18.
The New York “Times,” editorially commenting on the continental development of Australia, says: Americans will watch Australia’s nation-planning with sympathy and interest. The paper points out that Anntralia’s problems to-dav are much'the same as America’s problems rvcie half a century ago. No doubt America would bo glad to aid Australia financially, much as Europe helped to finance the trans-continental railways irt the United States.
The “Times” hopes that Australia will profit by America’s mistakes. Australia, is the last frontier. If this is opened up with Aviso guidance and careful fort-thought, it will bring prosperity and credit to the planners.
