PERSONAL.
Mr H. D. Blair is at present on a visit to D’Urville Island. Mr "William Evans returned to Timaru from Christchurch je.stcid.ij. Mr F. Cliittock returned to Timaru from Christchurch yesterday. Mr P. Elworthy, Gordon’s Valley, has arrived in Timaru, on a short visit to New Zealand.
Mr W. Jordan, Government Audit Inspector, left. Timaru on his return to Christchurch yesterday. Mr Harry Hardcastle, of the literary staff of the Wellington “Evening Post,” is at present visiting Jiinimi. On Tuesday next Mr J. llitchener, M.P., will leave for Central Otago, to be with the Governor for several days in the southern part ot the \\ aitaki electorate.
A Press Association message from London, says that Mr J. G- Stephens, of Sydney, who was awarded the Beit Medical Fellowship at Cambridge, is shortly returning to Sydney. He is now engaged in cancer research at the Lister Insititutei, London, with Dll’. Lumsden.
Word has been received by the Mayor of W a ini ate (Mr G. Dash) from the Minister of Education stating that the Minister will arrive at Studliohne on 4tli April by the first express. He will then be motored to Waimate, and after spending a short time there, to discuss school matters, lie will leave for Timaru by car.
