(From our own Correspondent.) GOLF CLUB. • The annual meeting of the Geraldine Golf Club was held in Mr •Kennedy’s room, Captain Kerr presiding. The annual report stated that the 1926: season had been very successful. A. challenge was entered for the Bristol Cup, which, although unsuccessful, enabled the team to put 'up a good showing. The course .and greens had been in good condition, several visitors voicing their appreciation- of the links. Thanks were due to Mr G. N. Fielden, for work .done in connection with the boxes and the honours . board. It was regretted that the club had lost the services of tlireg; old arid enthusiastic members; in the • persons of "Miss AV.L JMelll-by, and -Messrs 'A-. ‘and ",‘G. • Sheldon; owing to leaving" the' district.. A dance, held in connec-tion-with the club, . attracted a large nuinb&r of members arid ..thpi.i- Trieflds, andyprqved a very enjoyable function. Thanks were again due to the ladies who. had dispensed afternbon tea dtlring, the season. . The club was also . indebted to the Press, for the liberal rimnner in which the doings of the club had been recorded. The club championships were won, as under : Senior,;. Miss C. Withers; junior. Miss Sharp. Men:' Senior, Mr D. Macdonald. ■ Junior: Mr A. Sharpe. Kerr bogey match, Mr. T. W. Currie. . The .balance sheet showed a credit balance of £4O 11s, in addition to which, the club has a fixed deposit of £66, .The report and balance sheet were adopted. The- fallowing resignations were received with regret:—-Mesefis J. A. Paterson, C. l ass, Mcllroy, and Mrs It. Templar. A letter was received from the North Otago Golf Club, issuing an invitation to members to attend the opening of the new links, at Onmarii, on April 9th. It was decided >’ to thank the North Otago Club for their kind invitation. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :—President, Captain C. J. Kerr; .’vice-presidents; Mrs Kerr, Messrs Feilden and B. It. Macdonald; club captain, Mr P. Gr. Withers; ladies’ captain, Mrs J. Scott; secretary,.- —. After much discussion! on the motion of Mr A. A. Beaddie, it was decided that - a ,•: committee,, consisting of Messrs . Withers, Macdonald and Kerr, be set up to make the best possihA arrangements regarding the appoint ment of a secretary. Ladies’ seer* tary, Mrs 11. Williams; comrhittee, Messrs Burrows, Grieve, Iteaddie, Dr Curtis, D. Macdonald ladies’ committee, , Mesdames Wooding arid Paterson, and Miss E. Sherratt. - ..Several members offered to donate trophies and medals. The question of opening day was left in the hands of the committee. .In all probability, it will be early in April, as the course' is not yet in condition for play. - LADIES’ HOCKEY „CLUB. At the annual meeting of the Ladies’ Hockey Club 1 , Miss' A. Bell presided. The* following officers wore elected: —Patroness, Mrs J. M. H: Tripp: president, Mrs\W. A.
