PERSONAL.
Mr H. H. Fraser left for Auckland yesterday. Mr F. Graham, who has been on a visit to Timaru, returped to Christchurch yesterday. Mr F. D. McGovern, manager of the Bank of New South Wales, has returned from a visit to Auckland. A Zeehan paper reports the proceedings at a gathering at which the members of the council, instructors, and students of the Zeehan School or Mines met at tho school to say farewell to Mr H. G. Black, who has been director for four years and' a-half. Mr H. G .Black, who is an ex-Dunedimte, is returning te that city to fill an important position as lecturer m >h Q Otago University. Miss Hilda Taylor lias been appointed to the position of physical and sports mistress in the Otago Girls .High School. Miss Taylor, who is a recent arrival England, took phy* sical training course at the University College, Reading. She is glso iv qualified teacher. Before coming to New Zealand she was _ games mistress for throe years in a girls’ school .with oyer 300 pupils. She is at present on me staff of Queen Margaret College, Wellington.
