WANGANUI, January .21 The second Wanganui wool sale of the 19 26-27 season opened at 4 p.xn. t 0 There was a catalogue of 25,000* bales offered to a full bench ot buyers. , . Bidding was very keen, showin» evidence that many buyers are operating on the same limits. Prices were firm on the Napier rates, with prices for the finer grades satisfactory to growers. " . All classes of wool were in demand, Bradford taking a big share, while Italy and Germany played 3more prominent part than usual. The sale is proceeding. The range of prices at to-inghc s sale was as follows: Fine X-bred, 46/4S — Super 14d to 15d. i r ~~ Average 12d to 14d. Inferior lid to 12Jd. Medium X-bred, 4 4/46 — Super 13d to 14$d. Average lid to 13dInferior 9id to 10R1. Coarse X-bred, 40/44 —- Super Hid to 12d. Average 10Jd to llid. Inferior to 9id. Hoggets—■ Fine 46/48 12Jd to Jsid. Medium, 44/46, 12d .to 14Jd. Coarse, 40/44, 10id /to 13id. Low, 36/40, lOd to 12d. * Lambs, Down, 33/50, 13d to 16id Fine 40/44, lid to 13d. Seedy and inferior to 10jjd. Bellies and pieces— X-bred, low to medium, 8 id to 12d Locks, 6d to Bid. Crutchings— Aledium to good, 7id to 9d. Inferior to seedy, 4d to 6id.
