BANKRUPTCY STATISTICS.

THE ISLANDS COMPARED. STABILITY OE THE SOUTH. WELLINGTON, January 10. There were 58 bankruptcies registered in New Zealand in November, 1926, as compared with 40 in November of the previous year, an increase ot nearly 50 per cent. Of the 5K insolvencies recorded in November last, 25 were registered _in the Auckland district, 20 in the II clfington district, while in the South Island there were on'y 13 bankruptcies, of which nine were registered in the Christchurch district. The figures for each of the 11 months, together with those for the corresponding months or tlie previous year, are appended : _
