Mr F. W. Anderson came to Timaru from Christchurch yesterday. Mr L. J. Price., of Wellington, is on a short visit to Timaru. 1 ... Mr C. Gordon, Auckland, is visiting Timaru. . Mr L. B. Ord, Rangiora, is at present in Timaru. . Mr George Bowker aiid Mrs Bowlcer loft Timaru yesterday on an extended trin to the Homeland. Mr D. Gunn, of the Government Life Insurance Department, Timaru, who is shortly to leave on transfer to Wellington, was presented by the office and field staff with a gold-mount-ed fountain pen suitably inscribed. Mr Murdoch, in making the presentation, referred to the recipient’s many good qualities, and on behalf of those present wiehed him every success _in his new sphere. Mr Gunn suitably responded. At the New Zealand Insulators Co., Ltd.. Temuka, on Friday morning the employees asreinblcd to convey to a fellow employee, Mr W. F. O’Keefe, their sincere good, wishes in view of his approaching marriage. On. behalf of the employees, the manager (Mr R. H. Taller) made a presentation, and wished Mr O’Keefe every happiness and prosperity in his future career. The management took advantage of the assembling of the employees to extend to all present Christmas and New Year greetings. Included !n the guests at present at the Grosvenor Hotel are: Messrs P. 8.
