BOXING.
SHARKEY DEFEATS WILLS. (Received October 13, 9.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, October 12. At Brooklyn, Jack Sharkey tho Boston heavyweight, won on a foul, in the thirteenth round from Harry Wills (veteran Negro heavyweight, and long time contender for the world’s title). Wills was badly beaten. The fight was one sided, the referee disqualifying Wills for hitting with the back of the hand and holding and punching. Despite tho negro’s advantage in height, weight (2141 b) and reach, Sharkey (1881 b) outfought and outboxod him in nearly .every round.
