Salter (Labour M.P. for Bermondsey West) was reported to have told a Good Templars gathering that he had seen many members drunk in the House, and that no party was exempt from this failing. ~ Interviewed by the “Daily Express, Mr Salter said that members do not take enough to bo drunk, but they ao temporarily destroy their higher thought control, and are noisy in their behaviour after dinner. This is a perennial occurrence.
