What is claimed to be a unique operation, in blood transfusion was per. formed by Dr. Goddard, on a child So hours old. The child was in a low condition, and tho doctor pronounced that the . only chance of saving its life was transfusion. Nurse Reece, attending the mother, offered her blood. The operation was successful, and tire child is progressing satisfactorily. This is tho youngest age recorded'of blood transfusion tried successfully, tho previous reported record being, six years. ’ ■
