During the hearing before the High Court of Australia of the appeal by a Chinaman who had sued an Indian, Mi Justice Higgins desired information from counsel addressing the Court re. garding tho time required for ripening tomatoes. Mr Justice Starke objected to the question, contending that it was a waste of the Court’s time and not relevant. After an exchange of words between; the two Mr Justice Higgins walked from the Bench, after a consultation with thei' other Judges. The Cliief Justice adjourned the Court till to-day.
