AVARD—AIACPHERSON. On July 15 at St. Mary’s Church Timaru, a vc-vy pretty wedding v.;rsolemnised, when Jessie, only dangliD ■ of Air and Airs T. Maepherson, -Butler Street, was married to Percy Edwar '- (Pat) Ward, third son of Air .J. AA'ard. Evans Street. Timaru. The. Rev. G. V. Gerard officiated. The bride who entered the church on the are of her lather, wore a beautiful Dor' of ivory crepe de chine trimmed wit silver lace godets and pearl ornaments Her pretty vei l was caught in pine-' bv a coronet of orange blossom, an I she carried a lovely bouquet of hothouse flowers and asparagus fern. Aliss Ruby AA’illiams, of Heatlieote, cousin of the bride, attended at bridesmaid. She wore a very becoming froelc of salmon pink erene de chine, with a head band of pink and silver, and carried a beautiful bouquet of hothouse flowers to tone. The little flower girl. Aliss Afargnret AA'ard, niece of the bridegroom, wore a dainty little frock of pa'e blue crepe do chine with blue streamers, and a bandeaux of tinv silver leaves, and parried a pretty little basket of spring flowers md ferns The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Air Frank AA’ard, as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the AA'eutwortli, where the usual toasts wore honoured. Later in the afternoon the bride end bridegroom left for the north, the bride wearing a smart ensemble suit- of cinnamon repo and hat to match, and a brown fox fur.
