I LONDON, June 20. , In the scheduled fifteen round bout, I Albert Rogers (12.0 j) beat Charlie ! Ring (11.9). Jt was a rough fight throughout, and a good deal of holding. In the firth round Rogers was warned for butting with his head. The Englishman took the load from the start, and in the second round sent Ring down with n smashing right hook for a count of seven.
On rising Ring met a shower of , blows. His right eye was badly cut ) and blcri. \ During the remainder of the light Rogers continued to better matters.
