OUTBREAK IN HIGH SCHOOL.

By Tciecrnali —Press Association, NEW PLYMOUTH, June 12. A fire out m the Boys’ High School buildings about 4 a.m., and beforo being suppressed, gutted four classrooms, destroying all the contents. The lire is supposed to have started in the fireplace. The Brigade attended promptly, but the fir© had a good hold upon the flooring and other woodwork, and it took an hour to get the flames under control. Tho building is of concrete. Th© damage is extensive. Outside accommodation will be secured to enable the school to carry on during rebuilding. Tho building was insured in the South British for £II,OOO. The damage will probably run into £SOOO or £6OOO. 'There were fires in two or three rooms last night, but when the premises were locked up everything seemed safe, and as late as 2 a.m. there was no outward sign of anything wrong. Tlie lire wa s first observed by a hoy in the boarding establishment nearby, Ehortly before 4 a.m.
