Jack Hood outpointed Harry Mason for the British welter-weight championship and Lonsdale Belt. Mason is the ex-light-weight champion. .Hood opened at a last pace, and Mason took the count to eight, in the third round. Then he livened up. At the half distance, he appeared well ahead on points. I'Tom then on there was heavy slogging. Hood being the more agVessive of the two, though ns in full v slow. The contest was generally disappointing and the verdict unpopular.
