ALLEGED FORGERY. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, June 1. Eric Donald Ross, a young solicitor, previously convicted of embezzlement, was charged this’ morning with forging a memorandum of mortgage by which bo secured the sum of £IOOO on a client’s house. Ho pleaded not guilty and was committed for trial. BREACH OF TRUST. By Telegraph—Press Association ' WELLINGTON, Juno 1. . Wesley Withers (25), who fell into tho hands of the police at, Invercargill while drunk, in charge of a car, pleaded guilty to-day to the theft of £l9 16s 9d in 1920, by failing to account for it to P. C. Hoare, lor whom he had collected rents. The police stated that accused gave every assistance . Mr Page. S.M., said this was liis third breach of trust. He received three months’ hard labour.
