Hie Calm's timetable lias been set back a day, and'she is now scheduled ■" tori Friday morning from Oamaru to loa'fl general cargo for Wellington, and '.Wanganui. ■ Tim Kamo, with a consignment df slope sheep from Gisborne, is also set doiyj.l to arrive on Friday. The vessel should bo despatched for the south the same night, and .is timed to return on Monday to load Wellington, Napier and Gisborne capgo. , The Katoa is due on Saturday from the south, to load general produce for Wellington and Auckland. The Canopus, with 1700 tons of coal from the West Coast, is expected, to call on Monday from Westport.

LIGHTER DAMAGED. By Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, June 1. A lighter returning from the steamer Kamo, fully laden with cargo, struck the railway bridge, and was found to be leaking. Tlio cargo was hurriedly discharged during the" night. A quantity of bran, flour, biscuits, stnrcli and other goods were saturated and is regarded as a complete loss. The total damage has not yet been ascertained.
