(From Our Own Correspondent.)’ RUGBY SUB-UNION. ' At tlie weekly meeting, the president (Mr G. S. Meredith) was in tlie chair, .those present were:—W. D. Paterson, M. Cummings, W. Nelson, J. Riacli, P. Stevens, R. Forsytli, J. Heath, R. Clear, H. Smith, J. Flanagan, and A. J. Inkster (secretary). It was decided to make a further* payment oft the freehold ground, and £2OO was passed for payment. Messrs Boland and Knell forwarded the mortgage and transfer of tho land, and tlie rules and regulations to iiavo the Union incorporated. A special meeting was arranged to go fully into the matter. It was decided to issue season tickets, entitling admission to the grounds, and also tho grand stand, for 15s for gents, and .LOs for ladies, this to include all represents live matches. Mr : Pollock’s tender of £l3B 12s ,9d was accepted for the building of the roof on tlie grand stand. It was decided to appoint a treasurer,, as well as secretary, and Mr J, Riach was appointed to "the position. It was decided to appoint selectors for the season as follows: —Senior, Messrs Parry, Bench and Heath; junior, Messrs W. Nelson and Hcalev. It was decided that all accounts bo. passed for payment when all the delegates are present. The "Works Committee reported the grounds to bo in excellent condition, and they should he in good order by the opening day, May 6. Accounts amounting to -C265 Is lid were passed for payment. Application is to be made to tho Caledonian Society for the. use of the ticket office for selling tickets during the season.

ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. Mr J. W. Campbell presided over the annual meeting of the Sfc. John Ambulance Association. Dr. E. C. Hayes wrote resigning tli© presidency of the Association in Waimato. The balance sheet was read and adopted. It was reported that more effective lighting was required urgently for the motor ambulance. The sum of £5 5s was voted to improve the interior of the ambulance van by the addition of several necessary details. Mesdames Johnston and Button and the .superintendent were appointed to attend to this matter. The treasurer and superintendent were empowered to pay accounts foil supplies and running expenses as they fall duo.

The election of officers resulted as follows :—President, Dr Wylie; vicepresidents, Dr Pitts, Dr Shackleton and Mrs Betten; treasurer, Mr W. J. 'Tweedy (re-elected) ; superintendent, Mr A." J. Inkster (re-elected). Mr A. Shearer resigned the position of secretary. No nominations were forthcoming, and the matter was left in the hands of the superintendent.
